Memphis on the internet.

Tamboli’s

You couldn’t turn on the MEMernet last week without hearing about Tamboli’s Pasta & Pizza. The owner, Miles Tamboli, turned away members of the National Guard from the Midtown restaurant the previous weekend.

Folks loved it. Folks hated it. It was, y’know, the MEMernet.

“Drove all the way from my small town on the opposite side of the county to support this place after hearing about [Miles] Tamboli’s refusal to serve National Guard troops,” wrote u/SmallTownTrans1 on Reddit.

Over in the Stop Memphis Crime: KWAM 990 AM Facebook Group, Rook Larimore re-posted a photo of a guy making a mean face and holding a sign that read: “Tamboli’s Pizza hates that the National Guard found 132 missing children.”

The restaurant said plainly on Instagram, “We don’t serve the Task Force.” They also shut down their phone line and reservation system because of “a flood of harassing calls and fake reservations.”

Tamboli’s also introduced its new seasonal salad, a new menu regular that “changes with what’s growing.”
