Why stay?
What keeps you in Memphis? That was the question on the Memphis subreddit last week by u/Various-External59.
“Me? I stay because I like it,” the user wrote. “I like my house. I like the cost of living. I like that it’s an easy town to get around in (driving). I think it’s really pretty here.”
Others on the thread said their reasons included jobs, the low cost of living, friendships, family, a sense of community, the ease of living, and owning a home.

The Peabody Graveyard in Midtown officially opened spooky season in Memphis last week.
Its incredible display of scary stuff is now open at 1430 Peabody Ave. (Please stay behind the chain railing, though.)
