When Dave Brown Met Batman.

Posted By on Mon, Aug 31, 2015 at 11:00 AM

It's WMC weatherman  and wrestling host Dave Brown's last day on the job. He'll be missed for many reasons. In addition to weather reporting he was a disc jockey, and hosted local TV shows like Dialing for Dollars. But this is how your Pesky Fly chooses to remember him— moderating a squabble between Jerry Lawler and Adam West.

Help Fly on the Wall Reunite Lost Hairpieces, Owners #7

Posted By on Thu, Aug 20, 2015 at 12:49 PM

The mission
People in the Memphis area have been tossing their toupees left and right and Fly on the Wall has noticed! Everywhere we look we see them, all matted, sad, and full of nuts and gum. So we've asked our readers to help us spread the word about this growing epidemic. Send us your pictures of lost bouffants and lonely extensions. Each week we'll post a selection of photographs in pursuit of our dream: "Reuniting good people with their good hair."

The hair

Roadkill at Trezevant & Jackson: What was it in life, we wonder? Was it Beaver? A squirrel? Someone's beloved Scottish terrier? Oh no, it was somebody's hair!

The Scandal Weave: This knotty mess was discovered at a school in a sack full of shredded documents.

Brain Drain at the library: This weave was discovered by Flyer writer Toby Sells who writes:

"Small but scrappy this weave was found at the library, which means that while it's got the looks alright, it's got the brains to back it up and never takes no for an answer."

If this is your hair or you know who it belongs to please contact Fly on the Wall via comments and we'll give you all the information we have pertaining to where the hair was last seen. We cannot promise a successful reunion because, like we've said before, nobody wants to touch that.

At this point, I'm reasonably sure that a certain WMC reporter is just trolling.

The Rylyeh Chronicles '16: 1-6

Every four years, the Great Cthulhu rises from his watery tomb and runs for President.  Fortunately, we chronicle this with a series of comic strips (created on Stripcreator).

Here are the first installments from this campaign cycle.
