Here’s some news you can use.


The Hi-Tone and Fork It Over are now offering lunch.

The Hi-Tone’s kitchen now opens at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday through Friday. The menu is the same, and there’s now a pizza buffet, offered from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The buffet is $9 and includes a drink and salad.

Michelle Campbell opened Fork It Over Catering and Gourmet Market in Cooper-Young last year, offering prepared dishes, including casseroles, desserts, side items, and soups.

They recently began a dine-in option for lunch, and on the menu are muffulettas with homemade olive salad, pimento cheese on jalapeno cornbread, and vegetable panini with pesto mayonnaise. Sandwiches run from about $4.50 to $6.25, and there are four to five side items to choose from.

Now, the Hi-Tone and Fork It Over need to figure out how to get added to the Wheel of Lunch.
