Who Does the Dishes?

Posted By on Tue, Jan 5, 2010 at 1:48 PM

When we got back to work yesterday, a coworker told me that over the break she had gotten into a fight with her friend and her boyfriend punched someone! And I told her that this sounded just like Jersey Shore, because that is what I did over the break.

But to the point... On a recent show, the cast members had yet another fight. This one was in the kitchen.

The boys in the house cooked an elaborate surf-and-turf dinner. The girls were hands-off.

After the meal Mike "The Situation" and Sammi "Sweetheart" had a set-to about who should clean-up. The Situation felt since the boys had cooked, the girls should clean. Sammi told him not to be a pig.

And then followed the Situation's already-immortal lines: "From now on you are excluded from dinner then. You are excluded from surf and turf night. You are excluded from ravioli night. You are excluded from chicken cutlet night."

For those of you follow the show, you know that the Situation is never right about anything ever. But, he's right about this.

Interested in re-creating your own surf-and-turf (not to mention ravioli and chicken cutlet) night, Food & Wine has you covered.
