Former CA Critic To Be a Reality Star?

Remember Leslie Kelly? She was the food reviewer for The Commercial Appeal from 2003 to 2006. She left Memphis for a job at the Seattle Post Intelligencer. That job ended last year when the PI ceased its print edition.

Since then, Kelly has been blogging at Serious Eats about her experiences as a "critic turned cook" and working on a number of writing projects. Her latest endeavor is particularly intriguing and may have her potentially knocking heads with Gordon Ramsay!

Kelly has made the finals for Masterchef, described as an American Idol-esque cooking show.

From Kelly's Serious Eats post:

The next day during the 30-minute "grilling," I answered questions including, "What's the craziest thing you've ever done for food?" My answer: Ate barbecue in four states in one day (for a story I did while working at The Commercial Appeal in Memphis). And, "What would you do if you were the oldest person on Master Chef?" My answer: Kick some ass!
