After the February 13th fire at the Overton Square restaurant Side Street Grill, owners Harlan and Kari Betlesky moved the business to the Magnolia Room next door.

According to Kari, Side Street's patrons have supportive by showing up at the Magnolia Room, and plans are on to rebuild Side Street.

She says that while the menu offered at the Magnolia Room isn't as extensive as the one at Side Street, there are amped-up specials, such as the two-for-one crab-stuffed tenderloin offered on Wednesday nights. In addition, they're having DJs and karaoke for the first time.

The Side Street site has been gutted, and, Kari says, the rebuilt restaurant will have a larger kitchen and a larger bar.

When will Side Street reopen? "We're looking at 40 to 60 days," Kari says. "Maybe before. As soon as possible."
