Caritas Village

Posted By on Wed, Mar 23, 2011 at 6:12 PM

We came to a realization today during lunch at Caritas Village: Coworker B always, always orders the same thing as Coworker A.

On this occasion it was the chicken & dumplings ($6), the special of the day.

Others at at table were giving B all kinds of grief because this copycating extended to the dessert. Both ordered the lemon cake. This means less to sample. How rude!

I got the Bing (for Binghamton) Burger ($5.75), served with potato salad. Options for the burger, served with swiss cheese and caramelized onions, include beef, turkey, and veggie.

Soup of the day was beef vegetable. Other menu items include salmon salad, turkey club, and chicken and tuna salad sandwiches.

Everything we tried was excellent, but best of all was the welcome from Caritas director Onie Johns.

Caritas Village Cafe, 2509 Harvard. Open Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Lunch is served 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
