Vito's Cucina

Posted By on Wed, Jun 1, 2011 at 6:06 PM

Thought we'd check out the recently opened Vito's Cucina.

We called in and picked up at the drive-thru window.

I had the Lucia ($6.25) — four cheeses, olive tapinade, lettuce, and tomatoes.

Not a showy sandwich, but that made each superb ingredient stand out.

Hannah ordered the Pope ($7.25), a veggie meatball sub with marinara. The menu says vegan cheese, but there wasn't any on this day.

The meatballs are falafel, and I had my doubts on how well that would work with the marinara, but I ended up liking this a lot.

It was the Spartacus ($8.25) for Greg. This is roast beef and Provolone and aioli.

He ate every bite.
