Abandoned Grocery Lists and Long Lost Ice Cream Cakes

Posted By on Wed, Apr 4, 2012 at 2:48 PM

I always get a kick out of happening upon abandoned grocery lists. It's a little peek into a stranger's life. I found this one last week at the Kroger on Cleveland. Maybe it's for someone's favorite barbecue spaghetti with the cake and ice cream to celebrate a birthday.

The cake and ice cream on the list reminded of a conversation I had earlier in the week about a wonderful ice cream cake that used to be sold in grocery stores like Kroger in the cake section. It was a rectangle, about 5 by 7 inches. Very thin layers. Hard chocolate covered the cake and was in between the layers.

Does anybody remember the brand of the cake and if it's still sold? Hannah is desperate for information.
