Banana Bread Beer, Etc.

I spotted Wells Banana Bread Beer ($6.49) at the White Station Fresh Market yesterday.

I like banana bread and I like beer, so why not?

And ... it's very banana-y. Very. This one's not for me, but I can see what they're going for. From the label:

Long ago, ale was known as "liquid bread." We've used our long history of creating the finest malt blends & added Fairtrade bananas to awaken the senses with a seriously fruity, rich, yet surprisingly versatile banana bread beer.

I also tried Hot Lips Pear Soda ($2).

While this was my first time to try pear soda, it was very familiar. Then I realized it tastes a lot like apple juice, which is not a bad thing. The Hot Lips website recommends pouring it over pistachio ice cream or spiking it with vodka. Sounds good to me.

There was a bit deja vu too when I saw these Fresh Market brand chips (on special, two for $4).

The graphics reminded me of the intro to My Three Sons.
