The Memphis Food Truck Alliance will begin a series of weekly food truck rodeos, starting Sunday, June 17th.

The weekly rodeos will begin around noon and will be held on Broad between Hollywood and Collins. (The location may change but will be in the same general area.)

Taylor Berger of the Memphis Food Truck Alliance (and of YoLo and the upcoming Chiwawa) expects about a dozen trucks will be at the June 17th event.

Among those confirmed so far are: YoLo, Memphis Munchies, Square Meals on Wheels, Rock N Dough, and MarksGrill.

In other alliance news ... Berger is currently working on something he's calling the Truckstop.

As Berger envisions it, the Truckstop will be a spot where trucks can safely park overnight. There's will be a marketplace and a kitchen commissary. The site will also serve as a venue for future rodeos. Other vendors could sell their wares as well.

Berger says he's already got his eye on an ideal spot in Midtown. He says if all goes as planned the Truckstop could be up and running as early as September.
