School of Rock?

Posted By on Mon, Jul 6, 2009 at 9:48 AM

The Music Commission is bringing in stylists and a photographer to take musicians' headshots tomorrow evening at the Pink Palace.

I heard all this while I was at the Shell last night for one of the Music Commission's Sunday evening shows — which run through July? I think? Someone please correct me if I'm wrong — so I'm a little sketchy on the details.

And the website and phone number I have don't seem to be working. But if you have some time and can just show up, it sounds like it will be worth it.

It starts at 5 6 p.m. and the first 60 musicians/bands to show up will get their picture taken for free. I think there might also be some consulting about band image and promotion.

And that's all I know.

UPDATE: Just got this:

"International music star and Memphis native Wendy Moten has "got the look!" If you wanna be a star — you gotta look like one, and we can help! Join the Music Commission at the Pink Palace Museum tomorrow night (July 7th) 6:00 - 9:00 PM for "You've Got The Look." Hair and make up tips by J K Hunter, make up techniques by MAC Cosmetics, TV & Film talent casting by the Lisa Lax Agency (be sure to bring your resume and headshot) — plus FREE professional headshots by Isaac Singleton as long as time permits!"
