Don Trip Releases New Singles in Run-Up to Guerrilla Mixtape

Memphis rapper Don Trip — of “Letter to My Son” fame — has been releasing a series of new songs in the run up to the February 24th release of his next mixtape, Guerrilla.

First there was his remix of “The Life,” a Memphis rap summit meeting also featuring established stars Yo Gotti and Juicy J along with up-and-comer Young Dolph:

Last week was the track “Allen Iverson” — a sequel of sorts to his great “Feelin' Like Mike” — produced by label honchos Cool & Dre:

And today is the defiant “Like Me,” produced by Memphis native Drumma Boy:

All three songs will be on Guerrilla. I talked to Trip this morning, who said that he's now expecting his Interscope Records debut album, Help is on the Way, to come out this summer.

“I felt like I needed some music to feed the people who support me,” Trip said of his recent singles and Guerrilla.

Trip also said he's expecting to perform at the South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas, next month.
