Selling Air

Entercom Communications Corp., the nation's fourth-largest radio broadcaster will soon be purchasing 16 radio stations in five states including Tennessee for $292 million in cash. Locally Entercom currently operates 94.1 the Buzz, The River WRVR, and Progressive Talk 680. After the deal has closed Entercom will assume operations of WMC-FM (FM 100), WMC-AM (Country Classics) , and modern rock station WMFS-FM (93X).
