TLC from SFA to NOLA

Posted on Wed, Aug 30, 2006 at 4:00 AM

The Ole Miss-based Southern Foodways Alliance has a series of programs geared toward helping the citizens of New Orleans — especially those in the restaurant industry and those who love its cuisine. They continue to gather volunteers to help rebuild Willie Mae Seaton's Scotch House and will be hosting a fund-raising dinner for the famed soul food restaurant on September 6th at Johnny’s Half Shell in Washington, D.C. In addition, the SFA is now compiling an oral history titled “New Orleans Eats.” If you’d like to make a contribution to the history or to get more information on the other projects, go to the SFA web site.
