Parking in Downtown Memphis Just Got Easier

Posted By on Thu, Nov 16, 2006 at 4:00 AM

If you're planning on hitting Beale or the FedExForum this weekend, there's a new place to park. Lee's Landing Parking Garage, the new $9.7 million facility across from FedExForum, opened its doors on Monday.

The six-story garage at 200 S. Second St. brings 530 more parking spots to the downtown area. It's the first phase in the $52 million Lee's Landing development project, which will also include a 10-story Westin Hotel, Morgan Freeman's Ground Zero Blues Club, and Crescent City Beignets. The rest is scheduled to open in early 2007.

Security cameras monitor every floor of the garage, and there is a walking security detail. It's open from 7 a.m.-11 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 24/7 from Friday through Sunday.
