Posted on Sun, Jun 3, 2007 at 4:00 AM

U.S. News & World Report has released a "Misery Index" ranking 47 of the country's largest airports. Memphis International Airport was among them, and the results aren't so bad.

The airports are ranked from 47 to 1, with 47 being the worst. That distinction goes to the Detroit Metro Wayne Airport. At number one is the Metropolitan Oakland International Airport. Memphis International came in 13th.

Factors in the rankings included flights on time, flights delayed, and average load. According to the index, 75.5 percent of flights arrived on time in Memphis, and 24.5 percent of flights are delayed. The average load is 69.9 percent.
