Re: “Cohen, 5 House Colleagues Launch Impeachment Effort Against Trump

Frank,
Whatcha waitin' for, sperm on a dress?
Just because a house is on fire doesn't mean you should ignore the tornado coming down the street.

Re: “Cohen, 5 House Colleagues Launch Impeachment Effort Against Trump

Everyone knows that Trump has his problems; but, instead of grandstanding, I wish my Congressman would spend his time helping to solve the problems our community faces. Drugs, crime, education, poverty, etc.

Re: “Chancellor Kyle Splits the Baby in the Opioid-Suit Dispute

Gosh, we've mentioned all these politicians, yet we haven't mentioned the name of a single doctor with blood on his hands.

Name them.

Name the doctors who caused this crisis, charge them with the murders they have committed, and send them to general population in prison.

No more delays.

Re: “Dorothy "Happy" Jones, Legendary Activist, Dies

Happy welcomed me to the staff of the National Civil Rights Museum and to my newly adopted hometown of Memphis. Her passing will leave a void of activism and kindness. Barbara Andrews.
Dottie, so sorry for your loss.

Re: “Dorothy "Happy" Jones, Legendary Activist, Dies

Memphis is a better place because of her. She was an example of a strong woman to me as a teenager in early Republican politics in the 1960's.

Re: “Dogs and Ponies

She may want to be a Congress"Man" but if Diane Black were a true conservative she and her rivals would drop this whole thing and get back to the kitchen where they belong and prepare themselves for some pussy grabbin'.

Re: “New Names on the Marquee

Harold Ford Jr could not tell you how to get to the University of Memphis if he were standing on the Highland Strip. He is the worst kind of political creature- a Republican pretending to be a Democrat just long enough to con you out of your vote.

He could do us all a favor and switch parties.

Re: “On Politicians and Gannett's "Seat at the Table"

At the end of the day, which media outlet was first to report that someone has tossed their hat into the ring to run for mayor or the Senate doesn't make any difference to the general public. Almost no one cares except folks in the newsrooms at the media outlets involved. So it's kinda funny to observe how much the media get worked up about stuff like this. Who knew that the CA was the first to report that Lee Harris is running for county mayor? Who cares? I certainly don't, not unless there's evidence of a quid pro quo arrangement under which the newspaper agreed to provide favorable coverage to Harris over the short or long haul.

Re: “Haslam Out of Senate Race, Blackburn In

Maybe an update or a new article in light of the Washington Post's expose that illuminated Blackburn's clear collusion with big drug companies to ensure the opioid crisis would not be hindered by the DEA? She is the definition of a vote-for-sale politician and represents everything that is diseased and rotting in the capitols.

Re: “Haslam Out of Senate Race, Blackburn In

Blackburn is a drug-pushing disaster. She is obsessed with 2 things: Fetuses and taking insurance away from poor people. In other words, this backward state will elect her by a landslide.

Also this author of the Heritage Protection Act is to be commended for his efforts in protecting veterans monuments!

Re: “Author of Heritage Protection Act Cautions City About 'Consequences'

There is no good reason to remove the statue of Forrest. He was a great general and when he was in charge of the Klan during Reconstruction that was really the only way that whites had any civil rights.

Re: “Harris Ends Period of Lengthy Deliberation, Will Run for County Mayor

This is great news for our County. I have worked with Senator Harris on several projects - he brings out the best in the people he works with. Organized, decisive and effective - great combination.

Re: “Sara Kyle, "a Tennessee Woman," Edges Closer to Running for Governor

If I can see it, you who live there should, land, power, money add greed to that, they are only looking out for themselves and those close to them, without regard of true justice ironically. Pay to play with nepotism as far back as their first encounter. Wonder how many people have been affected by the convenient changes made and in the works right now allowing long owned family land to be stripped away. I truly feel like I was told we want it so we'll have it, trickery at play. What's the five minutes for, I stand by what I post and if you want to know why, ask.

Re: “Shelby County Commission, Mayor, Support Relocating Confederate Statues

cuz'n Cracko,
You misread Ms Muska's text, possibly due to her phobia of punctuation, as likely due to your hurry to comment. In doing so you let slip her utter lacking in the definition of socialist (a notably pro monuments group). Indeed arguing with adults who still like to play dress-up suggests that you are lacking in social interaction yourself.

MS Muska if your love of country and family is as firm as your grasp of history I expect to see y'all on a reality show in no time.

Re: “Shelby County Commission, Mayor, Support Relocating Confederate Statues

County mayor Mark Luttrell as lover of history, quote:

I was born in Jackson, TN, but grew up in Bells. We had a big garden, raised chickens, and ate three hot meals a day. We belonged to the Baptist church, and we lived right next door to our preacher and his wife, a true gentleman and lady from the old Southern school. From as early as I can remember, I've always had a very passionate interest in history. I went after what I loved and majored in history and political science. One thing that did stick with me was a deep appreciation for the historical foundation of our country and of my family, and I carry that passion to this day. I'm quickest to anger when I see intolerance, when people don't take the time to see both sides of an issue and insist on making decisions or forming opinions without the facts.

County mayor Mark Luttrell as RINO & budding Socialist, quote:

I support the citys position. This is an issue you should address. This will show strength!

Re: “Shelby County Commission, Mayor, Support Relocating Confederate Statues

Why was this topic not on the agenda to be discussed? As a citizen of Shelby County I am very offended that I had no opportunity to voice my opinion to those that are supposedly representing me but rather pushing their own agenda. Corruption at it's finest.

Re: “James Mackler: A Democrat in the Senate?

So on one hand you have an army vet. On the other, you have a chicken-hawk. Hardly seems like a difficult choice.
