Hacks Cross may be the most dangerous street in the county. According to this monthยs Shelby County Sheriffยs Office (SCSO) crash report, more wrecks have occurred there last month than any other area in the SCSO patrol district.
There were 15 crashes along the street in January and six at the intersection of Hacks Cross and Shelby Drive.
Other top crash locations in January include Houston Levee (11), Shelby Drive (11), Canada Road (7), Holmes (6), Macon (6), Raleigh Lagrange (6), and Brunswick (5).
