Shiesty Thoughts
Memphis rapper Finesse2tymes said he “ain’t going out like Pooh Shiesty” in a TikTok video with more than 1.1 million views as of press time. Shiesty and others allegedly kidnapped and robbed a record label owner and Gucci Mane in Texas last week over the terms of a contract.
Finesse disparaged the act, saying Shiesty had “more learning to do” and that he didn’t want to be around anyone who just wanted to shoot or kill someone and have sex.
“Gangsta is keeping your hands clean,” Finesse said. “Gangsta is being free with your kids. The new gangsta is crashing out.”

A familiar rhythm followed LeBron James’ comments about Memphis last week. Heads exploded. The mayor spoke. Jokes were made. They fizzled into “real talk” about “what we need to do.”
