Re: “St. George's Arts Alliance

This is one of my favorite Memphis art events! 50+ artists. Live jazz. Wine (available) and delicious hors d'oeuvres! All for $5 admission on Saturday night= a great evening of art and entertainment! (The Sunday afternoon opportunity to see the art is new this year. A nice outing in daylight, too!)

Re: “Black Pearl Sings!

Just an observation...this is a press photo from the DC production, not the Memphis production!

Re: “The Gants, Alan Jones, Denise Pratt

Rock & Roll Heaven! I recently had the pleasure of seeing a part of my teenage years come back to life right before my eyes! I was a big fan of "The Gants" from Greenwood Ms. I remember being tucked in bed late at night listing to WLS Chicago and the thrill I got when The Gants came on with their regional hit Road Runner! I had seen them perform in Greenwood and to hear them being played along with the Beatles and all the others bands was a great thrill!
They say you can't go back but I got that same old feeling at Ground Zero when The Gants took the stage. Sid Herring has one of the best rock & roll voices any where and he was cooking! Sid has gotten his hands on some young, very talented, guys and Presto! GANT MAGIC! Keep it coming Sid!
Love you Brother! Doug

Re: “Adam Lambert

Some people were born narrow minded (like the author of this article) and will die same way without understanding too much from the novelty, challenge , creativity and the charm of the miracle called LIFE. They live for nothing and think that everybody should do the same.

Thank God I had am education that helped me understand the meaning and the joy of life. THIS IS WHAT ADAM'S SHOW IS ABOUT TALENT AND JOY OF LIFE!

Re: “Antenna Reunion with Raid, Recoil, Greaseland, Eraserhead, RBS, DDT, Sons of Muddboy

I am extremly excited to hear all the familiar tunes and see everyone this weekend. My family provided a place to allow all forms of art to be expressed. I was there most every night and heard some incredible shows. Please bring any mementos you wish others to see. Rock on Your favorite bartender Robin McGehee Lankford

Re: “Booksigning by Kenneth Whalum Jr.

The sad state of Memphis City Schools is a painful reminder of what happens when an entire generation is demonized and marginalized. This book delves thoughtfully into the problem, and offers solutions which will lift not only our system of public education, but the economic well-being of our community.

My friends and I had so much fun at Heart for Art. It's been so long since I have painted and it felt good to paint again. It was a nice way to unwind and hangout with my friends. I was so impressed with my painting. I can't wait to go again :)) Terra
