Re: “Trafficked Gets Benefit Premiere In Memphis

There is no basically about it. They are locked in, beat, and doing it against their will. A brothel is a place that houses prostitutes, not slaves.

Allen,
Kudos to you for all the long hours compiling the info not to mention the effort deciding which gets a number and which gets an asterisk.
Extra points if you can find just one that is wrong.

I miss Dennis Freeland. The Flyer had a great sports section when Dennis was at the Flyer. Has he ever been replaced? Does the Flyer even have a sports section anymore? A great paper would be even greater if you did!

Like the bullet form comments, Kevin.

I agree on Tyreke. It was obvious some of his teammates didn't like his ball stopping. But guess they, and we, are going to have to live with it.

Re: “Five Things About Grizzlies/Rockets

Harrison worked hard yesterday. If coaches can help improve his 3 point shot and layups, he could be a good role player.

They should really cut Baldwin and Zagorac or Deyonta Davis. None of these guys are going to become a natural NBA level basketball player. Hoping some guys will become a player future when they don't have the attributes is Hasheem Thabeet type of judgement error.

Parson's 94M are starting to hurt this team now. Cuban was right in not giving max to a player whose consecutive seasons ended with knee injuries. Wallace bought a lemon and the team will suffer for it in coming 3 years.

Wallace must go also. He has shown no intelligence in building team or selecting right draft picks. Because of TA/Zebo, this team avoided missing playoffs in last so many years. But the days of his reckoning are coming. I hope some one has the sense to get rid of him soon.

To Andrea Tomes: According to Urban Dictionary, A basketball term; To make eye contact with an open teamate, and then pass the ball to another player, as if to disrespect the first players skills as a viable scoring option.

Re: “El Pendejo

Allen Russell, no one is going to argue that the Democrat party has a problem, but so does the Republican party. BTW, what has Trump accomplished for you since his election? After all, as you stated, the Republican party is in control of everything. Where's that check from Mexico for building the wall? Where's the new healthcare bill? Where are the jobs he promised? But all is not in vain. After all, he has raised Twitter's profile all by himself.

Re: “Hear It Now: Silence is Deadly

I have to wonder after reading this "article" if Greg Cravens thinks of himself as a journalist. A journalist would research the issue/topic and learn before writing. Or if he is just either talking out the part he sits on or perhaps backing his party with more lies. First he calls them silencers, they are suppressors and there is a difference. First, silencers that make gunfire 'silent' or only go 'phff', exist only in Hollywood. They don't silence anything. They reduce the level of noise. Here are two articles from the Washington Post to back my point:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/fact-checker/wp/2017/03/20/are-firearms-with-a-silencer-quiet/?utm_term=.bdbd41f54b89 https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/politics/wp/2017/10/02/why-the-debate-over-gun-suppressors-isnt-really-relevant-to-what-happened-in-las-vegas/?utm_term=.4168e07e8e39

In the "article" he writes "Keep in mind that the only way in which concert-goers in Vegas were alerted to the unfolding tragedy and later enabled to take steps to save themselves was by hearing the rapid fire of the assaulting madman's automatic rifle and timing their escape efforts for the intervals in which his damning rat-a-tat briefly ceased." Wow, must be taking talking points from Gillibrand and Clinton. But unfortunately they opened their mouths and proved their ignorance and/or lied. The concert goers would have still be able to hear the weapons being fired. Especially when you consider the glass front of building making the gunfire louder and echoing. Even suppressed it would have been about the sound level of a jackhammer. I think everyone can hear from what direction a jackhammer's sound is coming from. But as you read (I hope you actually read the articles) the more the suppressor is used the less it suppresses. It also cannot suppress fully automatic weapons. They would melt in a matter of seconds from the heat generated.

Hear it now: This article was, and is, Shinola, a part of the ongoing disgrace that is the continuing domination of public life in this state and in this country by the liberals spreading false narratives to achieve their goal of total gun control. Even if it means outright lies and spreading those lies wide and far without letting any other voice be heard. I award this article Three Pinocchios. And shame on the Flyer for this piece of garbage this article is. I have to wonder if they will print a correction or let the lie live on.

There is no good reason to remove the statue of Forrest. He was a great general and when he was in charge of the Klan during Reconstruction that was really the only way that whites had any civil rights.
