Re: “Women's Rights Documentary Equal Means Equal Brings Fight To Memphis

Well said Sandyo. Also it's spelled 'suffragette' I think, Chris. Thanks.

Re: “Women's Rights Documentary Equal Means Equal Brings Fight To Memphis

Poignant and mercilessly informative about the state of women and girls now in America. Other nations have already codified similar Equal Rights Amendment language and have seen their Gross Domestic Product (GDP) soar. But not the USA. Not yet. JUST 2 MORE STATE LEGISLATURES VOTING FOR IT (RATIFYING IT) passes it into the US Constitution with a possible stop at US Congress, which years ago already ok'd it.

What's holding it up for 100 years? Waiting for macho partisanship to dry up. It not only has NOT, its noose has tightened over the 17 nonstop years i and my huge team of ERA Fighters, male and female, have ceaselessly advocated for states to ratify it, like Florida, Virginia, Illinois, N Carolina, Utah. NEVADA JUST DID! Just shows what a wise Democrat legislature can do when it's informed and Ready!

For those who realize that we women and girls will forever be delegated to 2nd class when it comes to directing our own lives, when you re-read the last sentence of the above paragraph, YOU WILL RECOGNIZE WHAT IT IS YOU MUST MUST DO to correct the balance of political votes in the remaining states SO THAT THIS AMENDMENT DOES GET GRANTED OPEN PUBLIC HEARINGS IT REQUIRES SO THAT FULL DISCUSSION OF IT THAT CLEARS UP THE ACTUAL FACTS AND DISMISSES ANTIQUE MYTHS THAT SERVE The Other Political Party's campaign money income and propaganda.

EQUAL RIGHTS AMENDMENT IS NOT NOT NOT DEAD, for example. Though The Opposing Party likes to voice that lie a lot, if hearings are not held, they can and do continue to tout the lies . And example, by Florida's Sen. Marco Rubio. Watch him diss us females and tell his favorite lie in this recent video:

Re: “Inaugurate The Resistance at Crosstown Arts

Nice to see it tie in with fund-raisers for women' health issues. Looks like that is where current 'reform' in the Trump administration is trying to save money. Inexplicably.

Re: “When "American Pickers" Met Prince Mongo

That cool messy guy played part in providing booze to my best friend 25 years ago after leaving an old club of his off Front Street, & while only 13 or 14 years old at the time, my best friend and another friend of his got on a motorcycle my friend thought he was more sober to operate, & while on I-55, Jared Sizemore of Kirby High School fell off the back loosing his life. When Timothy Rodemyer turned to look what happened, he also turned the handlebars, coasting him into a guardrail & breaking his neck killing him instantly on Labor Day, 1992. So, before many of you open your mouths to something that so obviously for decades has been an unraveling nightmare for the families involved, maybe you ought to think about so many other than just this example that over the years have been attempting to stop with this brat of a kid who never stopped rebelling against not getting his way, which caused some their lives as he roams a free 'it' of whatever you want to call this moron!

Re: “Raw

is it too picky to point out this film left town well before the review ran?

Re: “Never Seen It: Watching 1984 with the Political Cinema Club

I saw it when it first was released. And I agree with JB about Reagan. But by the time this film came out, it was obvious to me what political theatre politics really is. So the grimness of the film seemed an appropriate metaphor for how my 1970's youthful idealism had had all its color and brilliance washed-out by Reagan and his Blue Meanies. I think we were all adjusting to that lack of pop and verve right about then.

Re: “Memphis Wrestling Legend Jackie Fargo Dies

Charlotte, I remember so very well seeing Jackie wrestle from the time I was four, which was back in 1958 or 1959. Back then it was on one of the Birmingham stations in Alabama. Later I watched him a lot on TV in Huntsville as well as Chattanooga, Tennessee. I also watched him as We went live to the Von Braun Civic Center in Huntsville. Watched him for many years as I was glued to the TV every Saturday afternoon.....I would not miss it for the world.
Recently, and out of the blue, I had a dream about him. I think he is trying to get a message to me and I think i know what it is. Does this sound CRAZY, yes I am sure it does, but it is not. I would love to talk to you about it sometime, if any way possible. My name is John Lowden, the one on Facebook that lives in Glen Allen, VA.

Re: “When "American Pickers" Met Prince Mongo

Mongo's only danger ever was a messy homeowner and selling Boose to
Underage kids. He resides in Calif now. He is all an act on a stage. Calm down Jethro. He is a cool messy guy

Isn't the plot just background for Sean Connery half-naked?

Re: “Sun Records Episode 1: A Positive Note

I just stopped surfing to see the Elvis character doing the geographical faux pas followed up by a discussion over a book that was years away from being published.

Re: “Sun Records Episode 1: A Positive Note

First critiques of the show point to the bad accents. I can overlook that if the story remains interesting. And Marion is hot!

Steven is apparently auditioning for Milo's professional troll position over at Breitbart in anticipation of his firing.

Good Luck Steve!

"His powers are beyond question"

Stephen, please tell me you are just trolling. If not, Congress and the courts have a lot to say about the limits of presidential power.
