Yes. Common practice. Usually sold to China.

Re: “Schweinehaus to Become Stanley Bar-B-Que

Memphis is the least cultured place. Everything turns into a BBQ establishment or a Bass Pro Shop.

Re: “Spaghetti Warehouse Closing

This is very sad. I was there in October 2017 I loved the chili! Is there a way I could get the recipe for it?

Re: “Spaghetti Warehouse Closing

Good riddance to a bad restaurant that hung on far too long. Sympathies to the employees, who I hope will all find better jobs very soon. Here's hoping the property will attract a new tenant or buyer capable of transforming the establishment into a civic asset worthy of the property's somewhat enviable location.

Re: “Spaghetti Warehouse Closing

The spagetti was a very special place when I was a kid. One of the only places where my family would go downtown in the 90s and since I loved downtown, and bread, I loved it. My grandparents who are now long gone, had the whole family for a few of their wedding anniversary there. I loved the then unusual quirky decor, I loved the garlic butter, I loved the giant jawbreakers for sale. It may not be the best food you can get in town for the money anymore, but it meant a lot to me Ill be going have one last meal there this week, or at least before they close. Spin street, spagetti warehouse, the fairgrounds, the coliseum, the pyramid an ugly bait shop, Peabody place, the long gone liberty land, etc etc. ugh. Sad week for memphis nostalgia, unfortunately not really a new thing for us. At least the trolleys are coming back and crosstown was revitalized.

Re: “Spaghetti Warehouse Closing

Very sad news. I work downtown and this was my favorite place to have lunch for the past 22 years. My coworker and I have plans to be there as many times as possible before they close the doors for good. We will truly muss it!

Re: “Pontotoc opening next week on South Main

I'm actually from Pontotoc, Mississippi. I'm really curious why they named it that, but definitely not offended. Sounds like it's going to do beautifully!

Please be playing weird atonal experimental 1950's hot jazz... I ask for so little in this life, and I will patronize this junt religiously if I can get that hot experimental weird jazz.
