Families work together to clean and maintain the house and to cook meals. This home-like atmosphere provides a sense of security, especially for the children, fosters self-esteem and uplifts the human spirit. It creates one of the most VITAL INGREDIENTS for escaping povertyhope."

Re: “Hattiloo Theatre

Hattiloo Theatre is one of the best venues in Memphis to experience live theatre. The actors and productions are always first rate and the theatre offer many plays by new playwrights and African American playwrights. Do yourself a favor and check out one of their performances.

Re: “Art Museum at the University of Memphis (AMUM)

I love going to the AMUM to visit with the Egyptian collection there. When I was a student at the U of M, I would go visit to relax and take a break.

Re: “Village Frame & Art

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, I went to these guys to have my fathers military flag put in a shadow box frame and I couldn't be more pleased.
Since then I've taken several things in to get framed....I completely trust them and HIGHLY recommend them!

Re: “The Majestic Grille

One of my favorite places to eat downtown. The food is great, the service is quick and super polite, and the atmosphere is very nice. My first impression when I walked in was that this was going to be an expensive night. The prices are surprisingly reasonable for the excellent quality and amount of food.

The Old Settler was just what my Sunday afternoon needed!! I laughed and cried. Each character was convincing and poignant in their respective roles. Thank you for this wonderful work.

Re: “The Majestic Grille

A friend and I were strolling down main street trying to decide on a place to eat and saw this restaurant. We were so glad we decided to try it. The atmosphere was comfortable and classy and the food was beyond reproach! The service was excelent. We have been back one other time and were rewarded with the same wonderful food and service. This is a favorite of ours and we will enjoy going back.
