Born and raised in Memphis, currently splitting time between Pennsylvania and Memphis. Singer/songwriter with Dead Irish Blues. Plays guitar/tenor banjo and sings with The Whiskey Chute Smugglers (along with wife Marty, Jimmie Crosthwait and bassist Baird Callicott). Teams with Jimmy Crosthwait (zen chimes) by playing highly processed electric guitar and effects in The Anti-Twilight Dark Band. Greg went to high school at Messick, and got college degrees at the University of Memphis and LSU. Greg played in garage bands in Memphis and then got involved in the Baton Rouge, LA blues scenes jamming on stage with BTR favorites Tab Benoit, Tabby Thomas, Raful Neal, Kenny Neal, and Larry Garner. Played in the "Phil Brady's All Stars" at the Baton Rouge Blues Festival prior to leaving for Virginia in 1995. At that point, Greg immersed himself into the acoustic music scene in VA along with his future wife Marty. Upon moving to PA, DIB was born.
