Re: “Memphis in New Orleans: Visiting the Cecil's Hi-Hat Sign

Catfish grilled on a flat top. RE the Baker/Davis show -- it's not unpossible.

Re: “"Million Dollar Quartet" Wants to Be Your Teddy Bear

I asked the man who did the recording. Cowboy Jack said maybe he wasn't there for very long. He's allegedly singing harmonies, not in his trademark baritone. But the mystery remains. https://www.memphisflyer.com/TheaterBlog/a…

Re: “Tour Brings Memphis’ Historic Parking Lot District to Life

I live in the Dave Wells house. One of the guys who helped deepen the interracial coalition. The "top political power in north Memphis."

Re: “Mayor: Memphis Situation Different from New Orleans on Confederate Statues

Correction isn't mere revision and the slope is only pretend slippery. The General in health sciences park isn't George Washington. American history can stand a lot of completion, but there's a difference between imperfect people caught up in history and outright traitors fighting to preserve the institution of human bondage that enriched them. Ol Glory flew over atrocities and miracles. The confederate flag only catches atrocity.

BP45-- YES! They added light to the overpass separating the convention center from the Pinch and when it's on it makes a world of difference -- connecting rather than separating the two areas.

Re: “Theatre Memphis Neuters Cat on a Hot Tin Roof

I even have mixed feelings about the set though it was nice, and often beautifully lit. Sad to hear it's still not found its legs. Was hoping this review would have been obsolete in a week's time.

Re: “In the Rough: Hattiloo Stages August Wilson's Gem of the Ocean

The structure doesn't really hold together very well. Individual pieces are as good as anything he ever wrote. The whole, not so much.
