Re: “The Rant

"Palin" and "facts" are two words that should never be used in the same sentence...and is it media bias to simply point out what a load of crap her memoir is? Honestly, I've heard ghost stories told around a campfire that were more truthful than her "book"...

Re: “Guest Viewpoint: A Republican Makes the Case for Sarah Palin

"Then along came Sarah. Her candidacy was also precedent-shattering..." Exactly what precedent was being shattered here? The first Fembot to be nominated for high-level public office? Why is everyone treating Milf Palin like a history-making, glass ceiling breaking feminist hero? Two words...Geraldine Ferraro. Remember her?

Re: “GADFLY: The Cold Hard Truth about Sarah Palin

By that rationale, Willie Herenton has got more executive experience than all 4 of them combined...and then some...but I sure as hell wouldn't want him to be my president...or vice-president...or secretary of anything. I don't want him to be my MAYOR...are you kidding me?

Re: “MAD AS HELL: In Which the Author Thinks of McCain-Palin While Listening to The Who's 'Won't Get Fooled Again' on a Blaring iPod

What, you mean you don't understand the power of God, the Creator of all things? Seriously, watch the news...He's sending a hurricane right now to destroy all the homosexuals, adulterers, drug addicts, Muslims, Mexicans, women who've had abortions and pretty much anyone else that lives along the Gulf Coast that doesn't fit your idea of good, Christian, middle-America, small town valued people. Let's all join hands and hope that he gets all them America-hatin', no values-havin', non-Christian peoples in one fell swoop. Oh wait...that's Texas...somebody else I know is from Texas...interesting...wonder what God is trying to say here.

Re: “MAD AS HELL: In Which the Author Thinks of McCain-Palin While Listening to The Who's 'Won't Get Fooled Again' on a Blaring iPod

I could be wrong here, but I'm pretty sure that in order for someone to run for and potentially be the President, that person actually has to reside here...and beyond that, they actually have to be born a citizen of the U.S. I'm sure you're right though about Obama hating America...he hates it so much that he wants to lead it...that makes perfect sense. If the presidency thing doesn't work out, maybe he can run for Grand Wizard of the KKK because boy-howdy I'm sure he hates those guys, or maybe he could take a stab at being Pope since he's a Muslim and all and Muslims hate Christians. Brain adjustment? You're right about that...if I were to try and think the way you do, if you can call it thinking, I would definitely need a brain adjustment...a lobotomy might help, or a severe and advanced case of syphilis. Oh, and by the should know that every time you utter the words "truth" or "think" or "facts", God kills a baby fetus.

Re: “Rep. Cohen Plays "Hardball" on Obama, Jesus, and "Community Organizers"

Cohen didn't coin the phrase "community organizer"...he was merely responding to Republican attacks against Obama's experience, or lack thereof, as a community if being someone who organizes a community for the betterment of the community is a bad thing. He was simply illustrating the point that other figures that are near and dear to the heart of conservatives (Jesus for example, despite Chris Matthews' idiotic and repeated insistence that Jesus was just a carpenter) were community organizers. His reference to Pilate and his role as a governor was meant to counter the Republicans' insistence that Palin's experience as a governor makes her more qualified than a mere community organizer. I'm not a fan of Steve Cohen, but I thought it was a pretty good analogy and I got his point...unfortunately it seems to have been lost on those people who are either too sensitive or too boneheadedly dense to understand what he was saying...all they heard was "Jesus" and got all pissy about it. To his credit, Cohen took responsibility for what he said and apologized for any offense. Let's get over it and move on to the next media-fabricated and overblown outrage.

Re: “MAD AS HELL: In Which the Author Thinks of McCain-Palin While Listening to The Who's 'Won't Get Fooled Again' on a Blaring iPod that whole "freedom of religion" thing that is, presumably, one of those "American values" that Republicans are always talking about, only applies if someone shares the same faith as you? So what if he is a Muslim, or a Jew or a Hindu or a Buddhist or a Scientologist...well, ok, maybe not a Scientologist...what difference does his faith make? I don't look to my President, or any man for that matter, for spiritual guidance or leadership. And only the most small-minded, ignorant, paranoid, Fox News watching, Bill O'Reilly loving, trailer-trash, inbred, redneck, pinheaded dipshit would automatically equate "Muslim" with "terrorist".
