Epping Forest was going to be the best thing since sliced bread in the early 70's before the recession. There were beautiful structures built for the time. A country club was built, tennis courts and a gazebo as well to draw elite buyers to the area. It was going to be a high end neighborhood with country club amenities to draw in people with money...the recession hit, the construction stopped so abruptly that it was left unfinished and last I remember of it taxes and stuff bankrupted the project and the city wound up with it. When I think a little bit I will try to remember the developers and contractors that worked on it.
