Re: “Bid-Rigging for County Election Machinery?

Isn't it a bit late in the game, as far as the very important upcoming Presidential Election (in less than a month!) to be buying new voting machines? Sounds like a sure-fire way to encounter last minute delays, equipment snafus, etc. at a time we really can't afford them.

Re: “Only in the Movies and Memphis

Malco Theaters truly HAVE maximized the experience here in Memphis. I'm super-selective in how I spend my minimal entertainment budget, but have found attending films at their specialty locations around Memphis a very satisfying entertainment option, even when going solo for some 'me time' Kudos on their contributions to keeping Memphis fun for everybody, and on any budget!

Re: “Beale Street Landing's Colorful Topper

I have been liking the basic shape I can see of the building from the road, til there a no more 'sculptural' or fluid design that can enclose the elevator thing? (Good design 101, 'Subtly mimic a main shape elsewhere in the space').....HELLO......we've got a cool 'M' bridge, rolling river, nice riverside drive....I think a mixed metal, sculptural design on that theme that would tie into the cool shape of the structure below it would be a great alternative to the big gaudy plastic-looking box theme depicted here. Or a 'green' design, in which plantings could be installed. Please make Memphis look like something other than a mecca for hillbillies and drunks!
