Re: “Bill Boyd and Janis Fullilove Duke It Out Over Forrest Park Controversy

Ms. Fullilove is singing the song of her people. That's how she gets elected. As strange as it may seem, the Ku Klux Klan was indeed originally a social club. The reorganization didn't take place in the 1960's, though. Forrest disbanded it, saying the need for it was over, after Reconstruction ended. It was restarted, not reorganized, by an entirely different group of people for entirely different reasons; the new organization had nothing to do with N B Forrest. But I don't expect any of this comment to make a difference: at this point the sides are 'sot', the traces have been kicked over, and the pol's have the bit in their teeth.

As Wiley Catt said in 'Pogo' long ago, everyone is created equal, but some are more equal than others. Currently, Ms. Fullilove's people are considered 'more equal.' I'm sure she'd say that's appropriate.
