Re: “Stein: Mike Conley agrees to 5-year, $153mm deal with Grizzlies

Largest contract in NBA history. Only NBA players making 30M+ are Kobe, Jordan and now
Conley. Seriously, this is insane. Is he worth more than 15M what Raps are paying Derozen
on a 5 year deal? Payback from Conley Sr. for his last contract which was generally considered too low. Conley, slightly above average PG getting paid Kobe money.

Re: “Mayor Strickland Planning for Downtown, Memphis

Build on the success of the riverboat business by expanding beale street landing,
adding restaurants, shops and businesses on the riverfront geared toward tourists,
unlike Beale Street which has mainly bars and nightclubs. The view of the river is
the major draw. They need to capitalize on this natural asset.

Re: “Popstar: Never Stop Stopping

I went in thinking this film was going to be as good as Spinal Tap and was thoroughly
disappointed. Only gag I thought that was really funny was the TMZ parody. This movie
was more for the teen and 20 something crowd. And they could have cut out the up close schlong part.

Re: “The Lobster

I have been waiting for such a movie for so long a time and finally got to see it yesterday.
Being a long time single, I could relate to this movie and how it feels to be single in
a couple's world. The movie would have been better if I had read the above review to get
a better understanding of what was going on with the characters. I wouldn't call it a comedy by
any stretch of the imagination. It was more of a sad love story with a very creative angle.
I kept hoping for some happy redemption in the main character's story but it ended rather depressing. Still, much better to see this kind of movie than all the other superhero battle bad guy movie you forget the minute you exit the theater.

Re: “Dave Joerger out as Grizzlies head coach

Just read that chris wallace was also interviewing for the Kings FO position so it wasn't only Joerger trying to leave. This is a dysfunctional FO led by a phantom owner in Pera. Hollinger was the one that made the fiasco pick of Adams over Hood using his pseudo science logic over common sense.

Re: “Five Thoughts on Game 2: Spurs 94, Grizzlies 68

It was painful to watch the game last night. Their best shooter percentage wise is Stevenson and he only got 8 minutes last night. It seems if he misses more than 2 shots he is taken out of the game whereas everyone else is missing left and right bricklaying subdivisions and Joerger keeps on playing them. I guess Stevenson won't be brought back which is a shame because he is their best shot creator and is only 25.
