Re: “Zoo Blues

@APop. I am not a grumpy old man, but I am a citizen of Memphis. I have enjoyed the zoo and the Greensward! The damage the cars are doing to the Greensward is evident from Google and from up close and personal. The disgrace of using our valuable green land as a parking lot, in a park located smack dab in the middle of an urban area, an area that was planned beautifully years ago, to allow the citizens to play, relax, visit with each other. It has been in danger before, was fought for and saved from I-40. This is not a "pissing match", as you so eloquently put it! This is trying to save this park from becoming a parking lot. The overflow of the zoo precisely falls on the days the kids want to play. People who care about this situation are trying hard to work on solutions so parking for the whole park can be alleviated without destroying our park.
