Re: “1 S. Main Eviction Case Evokes Protest, New Legal Controversy

BP 1: That FedEx pilot was a single mom on welfare who worked her tail off to pay for her pilot training & licensures. Later she employed multiple international women who were at risk until she, herself, was at risk after retiring. Thats just barely brushing the personal history story.

You know the adage, I am sure, What do you do when you assume? The point is not that you have failed to consider you may not know the whole personal story, but rather the point being that this judgement has been grossly mishandled & is not a credit to transparency, nor equitable carriage of our judicial system. Ask questions to get the accurate picture in the future, before assuming. It is okay to ask. It is not okay to develop opinion on assumption. This is not a race issue. This is an issue of the miscarriage of justice. It could have happened to a Ford, but it should not have happened at all. That is the message that needs to be addressed so that the other brave souls, all races included, who invested in Downtown Memphis when it was NOT where you could feel safe, do not have their properties yanked from them due to this ruling becoming the precedent setting case. This is not justice & should not be setting the precedent, period.
