Re: “Remembering Natalee Holloway

I agree with JK that "[y]oung women should always treat young men with caution, and groups should never ignore the whereabouts (or assume the safety) of each other." But I disagree with JK's opinions about the integrity of the investigation on Aruba. More than $10 million were spent on the case; obviously, they were not spending those kinds of resources on a case that they were not trying very hard to solve.

Re: “Remembering Natalee Holloway

Such a tragedy. But let's give credit where credit is due. Joran van der Sloot is not the son of a prominent Judge on Aruba; he is the son of a mid-level administrator - a judge in training who never made the cut. The police on Aruba tried every trick in the book (and a few tricks that aren't in the book) to convict Joran van der Sloot but, without any corroborating evidence, the case remains unsolved. Rest assured that the case has not been closed on Aruba. The invesigation continues unabated. Hopefully, someday some real answers shall be forthcoming.
