Re: “Seeds of Discontent

Here this teacher has made a wonderful, beautiful educational model on so many fronts, not only for his students, but for everyone to share. His place is not in ANY WAY an eyesore; it is a veritable garden of Eden - he should be getting a commendation, not a citation!! I don't live in Memphis, but if I did, I'd be raising hell with the Mayor about his "little Hitler" of an inspector. I do know Memphis well enough to know there are many empty/overgrown lots, burned-out houses, and empty houses that need demolishing; sounds like this man DOESN'T KNOW HIS JOB DESCRIPTION VERY WELL. OR IS HE PERHAPS HARBORING A PERSONAL GRUDGE? OR IS HE A RACIST (just a guess; don't know what his ethnicity is). Whoever or whatever he is, he's made a bad judgement call, and needs to be reined in. More and more people, myself included, are raising more of their own food - for financial and health reasons. ALL the students from his school should and could be utilizing his garden as a demonstration site; I'm sure many students' families would LOVE to learn how to garden compactly like he does - and as a soapmaker, my hat's off to him for showcasing so many skills in such a small space!! He needs a medal, not a citation, you idiots!!!
