Let's think big picture here, guys. The natural area next to this channelized section of the Wolf River is anything but natural. It is a wetland forest slowly drying out and being taken over by privet, which now covers nearly 80% of the Lucius Burch Natural Area. The conservancy is making the park and people's ability to appreciate nature more accessible. Sure, cutting down trees is a terrible thing, but when they're planting a million more native trees and creating more trails for your use, you should be grateful, rather than calling folks out.
