Re: “Q&A with Amy Goodman

I think Goodman is right about the importance of Independent Media, especially in an Election Year. It's refreshing to hear about issues that are important to the Family next door, from the Family next door. I'd rather hear what my neighbors and community feel are important issues and where they feel the Candidates stand, versus some Syndicated, Political Analyst, that I'd never laid eyes on until after the Official start to the Election. Afterall, my Neighbor is the one that will be standing in the same line, in the same building, in the same County as myself, casting their ballot on November 4th. That's really,in all actuality, the only opinion that may/or may not have a direct/or indirect effect on me & my family. However, unfortunately, I don't think many other Voters view Independent Media with a high level of importance. I understand what Goodman is saying about demanding more Free/Independent coverage of State and Government politics, due to the importance of the "peoples" voice. However, just as Goodman states in her para-phrasde example of the Constitution , the power ULTIMATELY "LIES WITHIN THE PEOPLE". Therefore, we shouldn't have to demand aything of/from the media! Our right to Freedom of Speech and Freedom to Assembol, stated in the Constitution, secured-forever our ("the people's") voice. The problem with mainstream media is: the failure of "the people" to engage in their Constitutional rights! The mainstream media has gone so long unquestioned, uncontested, and unchallegenged, that the American People have (almost in a sense) forfitted the one, true, and ULTIMATE POWER-THE VOICE OF THE PEOPLE. It's not the Media's job to let us (the American People) voice the issues we believe to be most important. As Americans, as Patriots, and as a Democracy it is our duty. Before Liberals, before Conservatives, before Media or anthing else...we are "THE VOICE, THE PEOPLE"-that's what "UNITED WE STAND, DEVIDED WE FALL" indefinately means. As Americans, I think we need to set Politics aside, and really take time to remember that.

Re: “Debate Number Three: It's all in the Vantage Point

Ya know, "Joe the Plumber", "Joe Six-pack", "Joe-Mommma"-for all I care!!! Let's be honest, or, "get down to the brass tacks" of it all...Osama or McCrack, flip a coin an' call the game!!! Niether the "Celebrity", nor, the "Maverick" solely, or collectively (with the help of each equal, yet, totaly incompetent opposing party) created the financial disaster that, (more app. titled) "Joe the Small Buisness Owner" (b.k.a.-ME!), is suffering through at current. (NOTE: YES, I DID SAY CURRENT!) And...guess what???-hold on, this one might blow your mind...NIETHER the "Slick Muslim" NOR, "LIL' BUSH", CAN SOLELY OR COLLECTIVELY-SOLVE IT EITHER!!! Bottom Line: tomorrow, I have to get up an' go to work, financial crisis or not. And amazingly (this may come as a shock to most of you), I don't get off for Jewish holidays. Don't be fooled my fellow "Joe Plumbers",... the power, does indeed-still "lie within the people".
