Re: “Why Is This Guy So Angry? (Hint: It Has to Do With the District 89 Race)

Dear "Midtown Chick" There was, indeed, precisely ONE mis-placed yard sign due to confusion about an address on Springdale. The sign has since been removed and placed in the yard of the voter that requested it.

O Cracker Supreme, Indeed, we do agree on virtually all things, both philosophical and ideological; heck, I can't think of ANYTHING else we would disagree on. True, the Goops are going to raise the residency issue (untrue though it is), which is PRECISELY why I am so sorry that Kevin chose to raise it in the first place. At some point in the future, there is going to be a Democratic candidate that we all support, and if residency (or the length thereof) is an issue then our Republican friends will hoist us on our own petards. And I hate being hoisted, on anything, by a Republican.... even Jeff Gannon.

Re: “Why Is This Guy So Angry? (Hint: It Has to Do With the District 89 Race)

A whiff of desperation had already surrounded the Gallagher campaign. Sadly, the whiff has become a stench. Jeanne's credentials are impeccable, her record of service in advocating for the mentally ill, homeless, and other marginalized members of our society is unassailable. All Kevin has offered the voters of District 89, to date, are some rather offensive remarks about the State Legislature being full of elderly, retired, wealthy folks, and some thinly veiled sexist rationale as to why it is a "man's turn" to occupy the seat that has been, in reality, "done proud" by the likes of Beverly Marrero, Carol Chumney, and Pam Gaia. Finally, the Kevster's personal behaviors, well known among his current suuporters in Memphis' normally sensible liberal blogosphere, would be red meat to the eventual Republican nominee and the other local Republican hacks. The attack-piece mailer, chock full of innuendo and outright lies, leaves a rather bad taste. Sadly, it seems that this sort of Karl-Rovian nonsense is all that Kevin has left to him.
