MONEY IN THE STANK

According to The Commercial Appeal, Memphis has been making money off its citizens’ poop for some time now, and if everything flushes out, the city will sell even more of the natural methane/carbon-dioxide gasses that are created when the waste of a million barbecue-chomping Mid-Southerners decomposes in Memphis’ massive sewage lagoons. Memphis already sells a portion of the putrid energy source to TVA for $25,000 a year, which makes us wonder if there’s a way for energy companies to skip the middleman and buy directly from the source.
