Freeze, Bobos!

A bit of parent-to-parent advice: Before attending Go, Diego, Go!: The Great Jaguar Rescue, be sure to tell your kids that, although Diego's famous cartoon cousin Dora the Explorer shows up in the second act, her well-shod simian companion Boots the Monkey is nowhere to be found. Seeing Dora without her friend Boots can be traumatic. It may lead to a series of unanswerable questions like, "What happened to Boots?" It will probably necessitate the purchace of pricey Diego and Dora merchandise in the lobby after the show.

As is the case with Nick Jr.'s successful "Dora the Explorer Live" franchise, the stage version of Go, Diego, Go! is colorful, upbeat, and sticks closely to the source material, relying heavily on sing-alongs and audience participation. Based on an episode from the cartoon's first season,The Great Jaguar Rescue finds Diego and Dora making their way through the rainforest and chasing a pair of mischievous monkeys called the Bobo Brothers, who have stolen the growl from Diego's friend the baby jaguar.

"Go, Diego, Go!" Friday, February 29th-Sunday, March 2nd, at The Orpheum. Tickets range from $13 to $37.
