Just a couple of art openings tonight. At Fountain Art Gallery, there s a reception for an exhibit of works by Priscilla Cunningham, Lou Hoover, and Polly Schrimper, and Billie Shaw; and at David Mah Studio there s an opening for a very special Memphis artist, David Johnson. The Memphis Grizzlies are playing Houston tonight at The Pyramid (Gordan! Gordan! Gordan!). At The Lounge there s tonight s FM 100 Holiday Hodown featuring Janah and Native Son. Just around the corner at the New Daisy there s the 93X-Mas Party with Breaking Point, Beanpole, The Internationals, Crippled Nation, Sheltered Life, Rail, and The Zach Myers Band. Nation is playing at Tower Records. The Reba Russell Band is at Patrick s. There s a PCP CD Release Party with Grizlo at the Full Moon Club upstairs from Zinnie s East. And Bumper Crop and Tandy are at Young Avenue Deli.
