After you get the chocolate syrup washed off, Our Own Voice Theatre Troupe opens its weekend fun tonight of Synaesthesia at TheatreWorks, a multidisciplinary show of dance, theater, music, and the visual arts. The Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company is performing traditional Chinese dance tonight at Christian Brothers University. Today is opening day of The Kroger St. Jude Tennis Tournament at the Racquet Club. Down in Tunica, The Commodores are at Grand Casino, while country legend Merle Haggard is at the Horseshoe Casino and George Carlin is at Sam s Town. And here at home, there s a Valentine s Day benefit show featuring Beanpole at Young Avenue Deli; the Distraxshuns are at Patrick s; and Jupiter Coyote is at Newby s.
