The Emerald Theatre Company's production of Madonna Obsessive Support Group -- a comedy about those obsessed with the singer -- opens at TheatreWorks. Tonight's Playhouse on the Square 33rd Birthday Celebraton features the opening of Sanders Family Christmas, followed by a free reception to honor the theater's many volunteers, with food by area restaurants, wine, and champagne. Tonight's art openings are at: Midtown Artist Market Gallery. Sip Coffee & Conversations for work by Kenny Hays, Fay Liddle, and Jennifer Hyatt; the U of M's Gallery 203 for a BFA exhibit featuring work by Amber Christensen,Jennifer Jones, gary Murphy, and Ashley Wilemn; and Buckman Performing and Fine Arts Center for "Temperate Zone: Flowers and Still Life" by Dottie Sachritz. The Memphis Grizzlies take on the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight at The Pyramid. Widespead Panic plays tonight and tomorrow night at the Mid-South Coliseum. Jerry Seinfeld is at The Orpheum tonight. Snowglobe, Retrospect, and The ScottSudbury Band are at The Lounge. The Distraxxshuns are at Patrick's. There's Porter Leath Benefit with Just Another Memphis Band at the Full Moon Club. Delbert McClinton is at Horseshoe Casino. New Orleans wild men The Wild Magnolias are at Aujtomatic Slim's. And there's a Widespread Panic Afterparty with Delta Grass at Newby's.
