Lots of art openings tonight. They are at: CBU s University Gallery for The Art of Judith Dierkes; Greater Memphis Arts Council for Wrapped, fabric paintings by Lisa Tribo; Delta Axis at Marshall Arts for Kim Levin: Itineraries, an exhibit of itineraries used by the Village Voice writer and art critic; Southside Gallery in Oxford for paintings by John Robinette, William Dunlap, and Michael Maxwell; and at the National Ornamental Metal Museum for work by metalsmith Peter Rose. Today also kicks off Repairs Days Weekend and Auction and NOMM, with metalsmiths from across the country on hand to repair everything metal. The Memphis Grizzlies play a preseason game tonight against Orlando. The Bloodthirsty Lovers and Irving are at Young Avenue Deli. Alice Cooper is at the Horseshoe Casino. And, as always, The Chris Scott Band is at Poplar Lounge.
