Just a few art openings tonight. They are at: Midtown Galleries for work by Elise Gunther Pugh; and at DCI Gallery for work by Jimpsie Ayres (one of my favorite local artists). There s also the Annual Holiday Bazaar tonight and tomorrow night at Memphis College of Art; the Memphis Potters Guild Christmas Show today through Sunday at Grace St. Luke s Episcopal Church; and a Holiday Bazaar at David Mah Studio today through Sunday with reasonably priced works by more than 20 artists. On stage, The Santaland Diaries, based on David Sedaris hilarious short story, opens at Circuit Playhouse. Funny, funny man Mo Alexander is at Stop 345 tonight and tomorrow night. As, always, The Chris Scott Band is at Poplar Lounge. And last but certainly not least, Michelle Shocked is at Newby s.
