Grizzlies Name New General Manager

This afternoon, the Grizzlies introduced Chris Wallace as the team's new general manager and vice-president of basketball operations. Wallace has most recently served as general manager of the Boston Celtics and is said to be close to both Jerry West and new coach Marc Iavaroni.

The next question will be what Wallace's hire means for West's future with the Grizzlies, with rampant speculation that West may remain with the team in a significant consulting capacity. For more information on Wallace, see Beyond the Arc, the Flyer’s Grizzlies blog. And check back this afternoon for a full report from Wallace’s press conference.
