Harlan T. Bobo at Otherlands Coffee Bar

You could argue — and I would — that no modern Memphis musician ("modern" meaning post-Seventies) has released three consecutive albums as good as Harlan T. Bobo's three solo albums, Too Much Love, I'm Your Man, and Sucker. Local shows from Bobo are rare since he relocated to France a couple of years ago, but he's back in town and will play his first U.S. show of the year this weekend at Otherlands Coffee Bar, where you can be sure to hear some new songs as well as, presumably, great titles from Bobo's back catalog. Bobo will play Otherlands on Sunday, April 7th. Showtime is 8 p.m. Admission is $10.
