Re: “Where We Live Now

When Memphians- black, white, brown or whatever- quit focusing on race and skin color as some kind of allegiance to support against the "others" and realize that ALL Memphians share the responsibility of improving Memphis FOR ALL Memphians, then, maybe we can address these other problems. Until then we will only destroy, divide, and drive into the ground this city I love with our ruinous habits. So what is my advice? Unify! Rid yourself of racist and segregational ideas; even ones based on truth as things are currently, and become the instrument of change that MLK dreamed about. BE the example instead of waiting on someone else! Of course, that is only if you care what the future brings for Memphis; If not, stop reading these posts and don't change a thing. U-N-I-T-Y We don't have an alibi because WE are guilty every day of the crime of doing nothing and thinking things will get better on their own!!!
